ORGANIZE A DONOR DRIVE
Help us get more people to join the fight against blood cancer. DKMS recruits a good majority of its new donors at donor drives. But we need your help. If you are interested in initiating a donor drive in your community, please call us at (866)340-3567.

Our years of experience organizing donor drives combined with the enthusiastic involvement of people like you are powerful factors in the success of donor drives. DKMS can help you organizing a drive anywhere in the U.S.
Following our preliminary discussion, we’ll send you our "Guidelines for Local Initiative Groups” and a link to our video, “How to Run a DKMS Donor Drive.” The guidelines and video serve as planning tools and will give you an idea of what to expect when organizing your drive. We’ll work with you every step of the way so that your drive will be as successful as possible.

You should also be aware that DKMS uses high resolution typing minimizing search time for patients looking for a match and does not require new donors to pay the $65 registration fee.

INITIATE A "1 WEEK 100 CHEEKS" CAMPAIGN
The goal of this campaign is to recruit 100 new donors. You will do this by enlisting the help of 9 volunteers. Once you have your team put together, you will spend time promoting DKMS and the need for bone marrow donors in your target community. For one week following this promotion, you and the members of your team will each actively recruit 10 people to join the registry: 10 x 10 = 100!

PASS IT ON
This is an individual initiative where you actively recruit 1-10 people to register as donors. There are many ways you can personally recruit donors:

• Promote Online Registrations: Embed our counting widget on your site, blog or page and start counting the registrations you inspire.


• Word of Mouth: Encourage your friends and family to register online at GetSwabbed.org.


• Go Viral: Promote DKMS on your Facebook page and share our You Tube videos.


• Share our QR Code: Print out our "Pass It On Card" and carry it with you when recruiting donors "on the streets." The code links directly to our online registration form.


• Host a “Pass It On” Party: Invite friends/colleagues to register at your home or office. Call us to order registration kits for the event.


• Email: Send one of our eCards to your contacts, along with the link to our registration page:
