Why:
Carolyn Tam is an extraordinarily special woman. She is strong and remarkably resilient. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed in December 2006 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Since her diagnosis she has been engaged in a battle for her life. She went through a series of chemotherapy treatments and was initially declared cancer-free. However, in April of 2008 she was given the bad news that the leukemia had returned. Her only hope is a marrow transplant.
Sadly, Carolyn’s only sibling is not a match. This means that she has to look for an unrelated donor on the National Registry. Please come out to register!
Today, a stranger like you can save her or someone like her. Tomorrow a stranger might help save you or someone you love. Registration is simple and painless.
