Why:
"Perched at one mile above sea level sits a hospital with a calling. Founded in 1908 in Denver, Colorado, The Children’s Hospital set out to be a leader in providing the best healthcare outcomes for children. That calling has made us one of the top 10 children’s hospitals in the nation, and, more importantly, a place parents have come to trust"
The hospital's mission is to improve the health of children through the provision of high-quality, coordinated programs of patient care, education, research and advocacy.
A big part of the hospital programs is BMT where every year many children receive life saving treatements with bone marrow transplants. In order for more patients to find matches it is important that more healthy individuals join the donor registry.
Children's hospital is holding a life saving marrow drive to recruit potential donors! Donors must be healthy and between 18 to 55 years of age. There are no mandatory costs for testing.
