Donor Drives for Jackie

March 6, 8

Why:

On Christmas Eve 2006, Jacqueline Rose (Jackie), then only three years old, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Jackie’s amazing spirit and courage persevered and she completed therapy on August 5, 2007; she was cancer free. Sadly, on February 8, 2008 it was confirmed that Jacqueline’s leukemia had returned.

The only way to treat relapse of AML is chemotherapy followed by a marrow transplant.

Please join us for a simple cheek swab and register as a donor. Your tissue typing will be on the national registry, National Marrow Donor Center (NMDP), searched by doctors each day looking for a life saving match for their patients.
