Solange: Absolutely! As a mother and most importantly as a human being. I attended the DKMS gala a couple years ago, and hearing all of the success stories of finding and matching donors was life changing.
I think getting educated about how simple, yet transformative the process is was extremely eye opening. A lot of people don't understand that it's literally a cotton swab that determines if your a match.

DKMS Donor Drives will Take Place at Major League Soccer Games in 7 Cities Across the U.S.

(June 23rd 2011) On Saturday, June 25th DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center will hold donor drives at Major League Soccer games in seven cities across the U.S. for 7-Year-Old Jonah Gomez, who suffers from blood cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant to survive. Donor drives will take place in Jonah’s home stadium of Salt Lake City as well as Pasadena, Washington D.C., San Jose, Philadelphia, Dallas and Kansas City.
