Meet Baby Giovanni
At 6 weeks old, he began getting life threatening infections and after months of hospitalization was diagnosed with NEMO. He’s 1 of 12 in the United States with NEMO and 150 worldwide. His parents were told he would die before his 1st birthday without a marrow transplant.
Michael Guglielmo started Save Giovanni to save his son’s life, but once his donor match was found Michael felt compelled to continue the movement – now called Save Giovanni’s Friends with DKMS - he and others started, so that families who didn't have the resources to save lives, could depend on him.
With the help of DKMS, Michael's family launched a massive bone marrow movement covering 10 states adding over 25,000 donors to the national registry, identifying nearly 300 potential matches, and matching 20 donors with patients in need.
With your support the life saving will continue.
