The Empire State Building to light up the night sky in Honor of the Coty-DKMS Linked Against Leukemia Partnership

Kylie Minogue will Flip the Switch

In honor of the Coty-DKMS Linked Against Leukemia partnership, the Empire State Building will light up the skies in red and white on the evening of May 7. The Coty-DKMS Linked Against Leukemia partnership is committed to the fight against leukemia and other blood related cancers.

Coty celebrity partner and international pop superstar Kylie Minogue will lend a hand in support of the Coty-DKMS Linked Against Leukemia partnership and flip the switch for this special lighting ceremony. The lighting, which coincides with the 3rd annual Linked Against Leukemia Gala, will also raise awareness of DKMS, the world’s largest non-profit bone marrow donor center.

In October 2006, Coty Inc., a global beauty leader and the world’s largest fragrance company, joined DKMS in the fight against leukemia by establishing the Coty-DKMS Linked Against Leukemia partnership. Led by CEO Bernd Beetz, Coty has leveraged its strong celebrity partnerships to raise awareness of the disease and help recruit thousands of donors around the world. Additionally, Coty has assisted DKMS in establishing independent DKMS organizations in the Americas and Poland with plans to open offices elsewhere in Europe in the coming years. Leukemia, one of the leading causes of cancer deaths worldwide, has personally affected the Coty family, as the wife of longtime Coty Chairman Peter Harf succumbed to the disease in 1991.

The lighting ceremony is not open to the public. For more information on the Empire State Building’s lighting ceremony, visit Empire State Building and click on the “Lighting Schedule” located on the left side of the page.
