Someone in America is diagnosed with a form of blood cancer every 4 minutes, so it is safe to say that this is a nightmare shared by everyone, regardless of geography, ethnicity, or faith. In the First Baptist Church of Plant City, Florida the congregation has had to grapple with the reality of multiple members receiving this life-altering diagnosis in just the last few months alone. But the truth is, whether or not you are a member of the First Baptist Church, it is rare to find someone who hasn’t felt the affects of cancer in their lives, whether intimately or through association. With the possibility of saving a life as easy as swabbing the inside of one’s cheek, the questio we must ask ourselves is not how, but why not!
