For 6-year old Colin Flood the night of December 23rd 2011 was not spent sitting around a lit up tree, talking with his brother about what Santa would bring. Instead, he sat in a hospital bed as he and his parents were told that the seasonal flu they thought he’d been battling was actually something they couldn’t even have imagined; Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Colin has been in the hospital undergoing chemotherapy since that night and will only be able to spend a week at home over the next 4 months while he continues treatment. His doctors say that his best chance of survival lies in receiving a bone marrow transplant, but unfortunately his brother is not a match, leaving Colin’s life in the hands of a stranger. Could you be the match he needs?
