How do we do it? 

We recognize the importance of careful decision-making. Lives depend on it.

DKMS provides patients and their families’ access to the largest marrow donor database in the world. To date, DKMS has helped facilitate more than 14,000 transplants.

DKMS Americas is a national donor center able to hold marrow donor drives in every state across America, making it possible for the patients family to be involved, regardless of location.

DKMS recruits donors of all races and ethnicities (we recruit donors in the U.S. and in Germany) and adds them to the National Registry, so all patients can benefit

DKMS is a very flexible organization and works to accommodate the schedules and needs of our donors, patients and their families; we appoint one person to be your contact for donor drives

Additionally, we have taken steps to instill state-of-the-art technology and research to make our typing process safe and effective.

Our donor database is current because we take extra care to maintain ongoing relationships to ensure donors are available and accessible when we need them most. Each donor receives an ID card confirming their donor status and creating a sense of importance, belonging and permanence.
