Age Distribution & Gender

Special programs help DKMS recruit young donors. 



Almost half of DKMS registered donors who have donated are young men under 30 years old. The highest concentration of donors, male and female, is between 26 and 40 years old.

A full 19% of all DKMS donors are under 30 year old. 

DKMS continuously strives to increase awareness and recruit young donors. Several projects have been developed to support this, e.g. a project in which forty schools participated in organized drives, sponsored walks, benefit events and classroom presentation preparation.
