Each day, there are approximately 6,000 patients searching the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) registry of more than 6.5 million potential bone marrow donors, which include the more than 1.7 million DKMS bone marrow donors.

If no one in your family is a match and you are in need of an unrelated donor, your transplant center can search the (NMDP) registry for you. We work together to help you find the best possible bone marrow donor.

There are more than 150 NMDP transplant centers. Review each center’s experience, matching statistics, costs, and record for specific types of blood diseases before making your final choice.

NY, NY (August 25, 2008) - Lisa Mottesi, a mother of three small children, recently diagnosed with leukemia, along with DKMS, the world’s largest marrow donor center, and her family and friends held a successful marrow donor drive on Sunday, August 24th. The team mobilized virtually every soul in summer ridden Short Hills and Milburn, New Jersey to come out and register as potential marrow donors to help save the young mother’s life as well as the lives of others threatened by leukemia and other life-threatening blood cancers.
