Every day more than 6,000 men, women and children search the National Bone Marrow Registry for their life-saver. Unfortunately, many of them do not survive. It is estimated that a bone marrow transplant could benefit more than 10,000 children and adults with life-threatening diseases each year, but sadly, only 3 out of 10 patients find an unrelated donor match. This means that the patient relies on the kindness of a complete stranger to give them a second chance at life. Your Merry Christmas may depend on what others do for you. But your Happy New Year depends on what you do for others. Please consider registering as a bone marrow donor this year to help give patients in dire need, a chance at survival. Registration is simple and painless. All you need to do is complete a registraion form and swab your cheeks.
