Meet Baby Giovanni

At 6 weeks old, he began getting life threatening infections and after months of hospitalization was diagnosed with NEMO. He’s 1 of 12 in the United States with NEMO and 150 worldwide. His parents were told he would die before his 1st birthday without a marrow transplant.

With the help of DKMS, his family launched a massive bone marrow movement covering 10 states adding over 13,000 people to the registry, identifying nearly 300 potential matches, and matching 9 donors with patients in need.
