How We Do It

With assistance from donors and patients, family and friends, DKMS has become the largest donor center in the world.

How do we do it? One donor at a time.

We work directly with transplant centers to get the word out. We also run donor drive campaigns to raise awareness and increase the diversity of our donor registry.

In February 2007, Ethan became ill and was diagnosed with Hemophagocitic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a very rare blood disease.A further test found that the HLH was genetic, which meant that Keane also had HLH.
