Me llamo Katharina Harf, vice presidente ejecutiva de DKMS. Bienvenidos a nuestra página web.

DKMS es el centro de donantes de médula ósea mas grande mundo con más de 2,5 millones de donantes de médula ósea registrados. Muchas personas en América del Norte apenas nos conocen, nuestra intención es cambiar esto y nos gustaría presentarnos.

Como muchos de ustedes, mi vida se ha visto afectado por la Leucemia. Perdí a mi madre, Mechtild, cuando tenía 14 años. Necesitaba un transplante de médula ósea y la búsqueda parecía inutil ya que sólo había 3,000 donantes disponibles en Alemania.

Love, Hope, Strength Foundation

For the past few years, The Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHS), an international charity dedicated to fighting cancer through the power of music, has teamed up with DKMS to host one of the most comprehensive, concerted bone marrow donor registration drives in history.

In 2008, with a limited effort at just a handful of concerts, LHS drives resulted in more than 1,000 donors registering and twelve potential donor matches being identified. We will conitnue our fight against leukemia and other cancers.
