Two Life-savers
University of Missouri students, Regan and Stefanie, each registered with DKMS, the world's largest bone marrow donor center, to become bone marrow donors. These young ladies were both found as donor matches and they share their experience about donating their bone marrow to help save the lives of two leukemia stricken patients.

Bone Marrow Donors

Bone marrow donors save lives.

Every five minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer, such as leukemia and lymphoma. Every ten minutes, blood cancer takes a life. Currently only 4 in 10 patients will find a matching donor that could save their lives.

We are out to change those numbers.

Since our founding in 1991, DKMS has registered over 2 million donors, making us the world’s largest bone marrow donor center. But we’re far from our goal – to give every leukemia and other blood cancer patient a future.
